Talbert House adds new VP of behavioral health

Talbert House has hired Shelley Batch as its new vice president of behavioral health, bringing more than 15 years of leadership in mental health and social services to the Cincinnati-based nonprofit.

Batch joins the organization after serving with Central Clinic Behavioral Health, where she spent the past eight years as director of Central Connection. In that role, she coordinated access to behavioral health care across Hamilton County and managed service delivery for individuals and families with complex mental health needs.

Her background spans behavioral health, child welfare and developmental disability services – experience that ties to Talbert House’s integrated model of care. The organization provides a continuum of mental health, substance use and primary care services designed to meet people where they are, from prevention and crisis response to ongoing outpatient treatment. Those programs reach youth and adults across Brown, Butler, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties through schools, residential facilities, community locations and health centers.

Batch has also collaborated closely with Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, Job and Family Services and Summit Behavioral Health, partnerships that will continue to support Talbert House’s expansion of crisis services.

“Shelley is a respected leader who brings both experience and heart to her work,” said Josh Arnold, CEO of Talbert House. “Her innovative ideas and proven track record will help us take our behavioral health services to the next level.”

Batch succeeds Jeremy Brown, who has transitioned to vice president of technology and impact. In his new role, Brown will lead efforts to strengthen the organization’s programs and outcomes through data-driven strategies.
