Chamber rolls out membership for remote workers

The Cincinnati Regional Chamber has launched a membership tier for remote workers who live in the Cincinnati region but work for companies headquartered elsewhere.

The Regional Remote Professional Membership gives members access to networking events, professional-development programs, discounts on business services, and subscriptions to the Chamber’s newsletters and quarterly magazine REALM. Annual dues are $120.

“We believe that remote professionals working in our region deserve more than a virtual address – they deserve community, connection and access to opportunities,” said Brendon Cull, the Chamber’s president and CEO.

According to U.S. Census Bureau data, 13.2% of workers 16 and older in the Cincinnati metropolitan area – roughly 150,000 people – worked from home in 2023.

Cull said the membership tier supports its goal of fostering a growing economy, population and cultural vibrancy in the region. He added that the program extends the organization’s “Everyone Belongs Here” ethos to remote professionals.

“By introducing the Regional Remote Professional Membership tier, we’re sending a clear message: if you live and work here, you belong here,” he said. “And we’re ready to support your growth, network and engagement in this region.”

Eligibility is limited to remote workers whose companies have no significant physical presence in the Cincinnati metropolitan area and are headquartered outside the region. Applicants can’t be current or former Chamber members.
