New SWELL Cafe to host monthly ‘FAB’ artists

The new SWELL Cafe in Camp Washington opened this past September with fresh menu items, arts programming and now announces a monthly “Featured Artist Boost” program to support local creatives.

The cafe, at 2936 Colerain Ave., is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Each month, the cafe will spotlight a different local artist through its Featured Artist Boost, or FAB, program. Artists will display work, host workshops or performances, and influence menu items. Beyond any art sales, SWELL will give FAB artists $1 for every featured menu item sold.

The first three featured artists are visual artist Kelsey Lindner, muralist Pam Kravetz and community-focused educator John Lanzador.

The initial FAB schedule is below, with opening receptions for each artist on the second Saturday of their month.

Additional FAB events and programming can be found at swellartcafe.com/events.
