M&M co-publisher joins ‘What’s The Point?’ to talk challenges, opportunities for nonprofits

Movers & Makers co-publisher Thom Mariner recently sat down with longtime radio personality Andy Furman on WDJO’s “What’s The Point?” – a weekly show spotlighting Greater Cincinnati’s nonprofit community.

Furman, who also oversees public relations for The Point Arc of Northern Kentucky, invited Mariner to talk about Movers & Makers’ role as the region’s nonprofit storyteller. The two spent the hour discussing Mariner’s path to leading M&M and the publication’s 30-year evolution. They also explored the challenges nonprofits face today – from defining what qualifies as a nonprofit to navigating the uncertainty of 2025 and meeting high expectations with limited staff and infrastructure.
