Kroger, Incubator Kitchen Collective offer new Food Artisan Grant

The Kroger Co. is accepting applications for its 2026 Food Artisan Grant, a program designed to help small, local food businesses in the Greater Cincinnati area grow and reach new markets.

The yearlong program provides recipients with resources, guidance and community connections to support business expansion, product development and overall growth. Specifics about grant funding weren’t available.

Applications are open through Feb. 28.

“By funding these grants, Kroger helps empower small businesses to thrive and contribute to the vibrant culinary landscape of the Greater Cincinnati area,” said Jenifer Moore, corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Cincinnati/Dayton Division.

The program is a partnership with Incubator Kitchen Collective, a Newport-based nonprofit that offers commercial kitchens, mentorship and connections to investors for food-focused startups and small businesses.

The application requests basic business and personal information as well as details about operations, products and areas in need of support. It also asks for things like a business plan or financial projections.

Applicants must indicate their ability to participate in the IKC Taste of Gratitude Fundraiser if selected.

Rachel DesRochers, executive director of the Incubator Kitchen Collective, described the program as an opportunity for “local artisans to receive the boost they need to expand their businesses.”

The grant selection team will notify winners in March, with ongoing set to start in April. The program runs from May 1, 2026 through April 2027.

Applications and guidelines are available on the program website.
