The Cincinnati Pops is bringing some serious ‘90s star power back to the stage.
Grammy-winning R&B group Boyz II Men will reunite with the Pops this fall for a one-night-only collaboration, blending symphonic backing with hits like “End of the Road,” “I’ll Make Love to You” and “On Bended Knee.”
The performance marks the group’s first appearance with the orchestra since 2014. It is set for Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Cincinnati Music Hall, where Boyz II Men will take the stage with the full orchestra, blending its signature harmonies with sweeping symphonic arrangements.
Tickets for the Boyz II Men performance and other select events go on sale to the general public April 15, following presales for subscribers, donors and artists beginning April 13.
The performance is part of an ambitious 2026-27 Pops season built around genre-spanning collaborations and large-scale productions, from film-with-live-orchestra events like “La La Land” in concert to Broadway and pop showcases, including an appearance by Tony Award-winning vocalist Lea Salonga.
Led by longtime conductor John Morris Russell, who recently signed a contract extension through the 2027-28 season, the Pops continues to spotlight a wide-ranging approach to American music, with multimedia programs like “Orchestral Canvas,” themed concerts celebrating artists such as Billy Joel and Motown legends, and a mix of traditions and new concepts, from Holiday Pops to a new Bluegrass Summit and a genre-blending program pairing Stravinsky’s “Petrushka” with music from Kendrick Lamar.
