Gina Marsh is returning to lead the Human Services Chamber of Hamilton County, an organization she previously guided through several of the region’s biggest human services policy wins.
Marsh, who served as the chamber’s executive director from 2016 to 2021, will return to the role Aug. 3.
The Human Services Chamber, founded in 2013, is a nonprofit representing more than 100 organizations that advocate for policies affecting a range of social topics – housing, behavioral health, addiction treatment, workforce development and services for children, families, older adults and people with disabilities.
During her previous tenure, Marsh helped secure passage of Cincinnati’s 1.5% Human Services Funding Ordinance. She also helped expand eviction prevention efforts across Hamilton County and supported the launch of Everybody Rides Metro, a program that provides reduced-cost and free transit passes to help residents reach jobs, health care and other essential services.
Marsh, an attorney by trade, has most recently led Marsh Solutions LLC, advising nonprofits on advocacy, coalition building and government relations.
“Gina is a respected leader, skilled advocate, and trusted partner to the human services community,” Dimity Orlet, the chamber’s board chair, said in a statement announcing Marsh’s return. “She understands how public policy affects people’s daily lives and has a proven track record of bringing organizations together to create meaningful change.
“We are thrilled to welcome her back.”
Marsh called the opportunity to return “coming home.” She said she looks forward to strengthening partnerships and advancing policies that create meaningful opportunities across the community.
“I have seen firsthand what is possible when nonprofits, government, and community leaders come together around a common purpose,” Marsh added.
