After 30 years as ArtWorks, the Cincinnati nonprofit behind hundreds of murals and thousands of youth arts jobs is rebranding, a move leaders say better reflects the organization’s growth and ambitions while helping it stand out nationally. ArtWorks unveiled the new name during its sold-out 30th Anniversary ArtDinner.
Jessica Orzulak is joining the museum to help shape its exhibition program, building on its long history of working with contemporary art and artists.
Four Cincinnati-area nonprofits that broadly serve the sector are exploring whether to merge. They are beginning a due diligence process to determine whether a merger would improve services, strengthen long-term sustainability and increase community impact.
Fox, president and CEO of altafiber, will help lead the 110-year-old nonprofit’s campaign to mobilize companies, employees and community members in support of programs focused on improving families’ economic well-being throughout Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.
“Elizabeth Hawes: Radical American Fashion,” opening April 24 at the Cincinnati Art Museum, brings together more than 50 garments produced between the 1920s and 1960s. The exhibition also includes original sketches, illustrations and archival materials that document Hawes’ approach to design and her broader influence on the industry.
The annual funding effort, now in its sixth cycle, backs individual creators who are using their work to probe ideas of “Truth” and “Inspiration” and imagine a more equitable future.

The annual festival showcases independent films from India and the global South Asian diaspora, highlighting dramas, documentaries and emerging filmmakers.
The excitement is hard to miss. Students dash between cases stacked with colorful books, eyes lighting up as they select titles at their free school book fair. For many, these books will become the first volumes in a personal library – 10 books each year, enough to generate a love of reading and boost school testing scores.
Impact 100 was born in Cincinnati in 2001, when local philanthropist Wendy H. Steele rallied a handful of women to pool their resources for bigger impact. There are now 75 chapters worldwide. The Cincinnati chapter has grown to about 420 members who have awarded more than $7.7M to 64 nonprofits.
