Lighthouse Youth & Family Services’ Beacon of Light Humanitarian Awards Gala raised over $300,000 for the effort to end youth homelessness in Cincinnati.
Families and friends from across Ohio gathered for a fun-filled day in May, with food, face painting, music and costumed superheroes, to fight neurofibromatosis, a rare genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.
The third annual “Are You Smarter than a Fifth-Grader: A Game Changer for Kids” raised thousands of dollars to help ensure Crayons to Computers’ Free Store and Mobile Outreach Program shelves will be stocked for the 2017-18 school year.
Martha and Carl H. Lindner III have committed $500,000 to United Way of Greater Cincinnati for the Child Poverty Collaborative’s One to One Family Initiative.
Their gift will be recognized as part of United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s 2017 annual campaign and, outside of United Way, is the largest and most long-term of all contributions toward the Child Poverty Collaborative.
