2 high-achieving students to join honorees at YWCA luncheon

More than 2,000 guests are expected for the 2016 YWCA Career Women of Achievement Luncheon. Proceeds from the event will help support the organization’s community programs. In addition to the previous announcement of the eight women who will receive Career Women of Achievement Awards, two scholarship winners will be honored.

Nine students received new laptops as part of the University of Cincinnati Medical Mentor Program, or Med Mentors. The laptops were made possible by a gift from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Women’s clubs coach kids in 3D Printers Club

United Way’s Women of Tocqueville and Women Investing in the Next Generation led a 3D Printers Club in conjunction with the Greater Cincinnati STEM Collaborative and South Avondale Elementary School.
Fifteen fifth-grade girls participated in the 10-week workshop under the guidance of mentors from members of the two groups.
