The Neighborhood Builders program is one of the largest philanthropic investments into nonprofit leadership development in the United States. Nonprofits are selected by a committee composed of community leaders and past awardees.
The University of Cincinnati received a $10 million gift to advance the work of the school’s Center for Cyber Strategy and Policy. The gift came from the estate of Patrick and Malle Portway. The Portways’ most recent gift to UC connects to Patrick’s career and Malle’s heritage.
The program is offering $5,000 grants to 15 small businesses in the Greater Cincinnati region of Ohio. Funding is available to eligible women, veteran and minority-owned business owners. Applications are due by Nov. 13.
