What to Do/See/Hear | June 20-June 26

Are you still with us? Last weekend’s blast of heat and humidity was enough to melt anyone … or at least drive us all inside. No doubt our summer has more tandoori days in store, but this weekend promises a more merciful climate. That’s good, because there are many outdoor events worth your time in the next seven days. Indoor ones, too, for the once-burned-twice-shy among you.

Astronomers and sticklers will tell you that summer does not officially begin until June 21. These people have apparently not experienced either Cincinnati’s arts scene or humid heat in late May and early June. To my allergy-clouded eyes, it looks like summer to me. Judge for yourself.

Hats Off to Cincinnati Parks Foundation

Under the leadership of mother-daughter co-chairs Marty and Jamie Humes, 137 volunteers are working to infuse springtime magic into the annual Hats Off Luncheon. Hosted by the Women’s Committee of Smale Riverfront Park, the iconic event promotes Cincinnati’s urban park system.
