
Catacoustic Consort, founded and led by Annalisa Pappano, will premiere “La Fête du Ruel,” by one of the greatest composers of Baroque-era France, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, 331 years after it was written.
Start with the Classical Roots Community Mass Choir made up of 100 singers from dozens of area churches. Add the powerhouse vocals of Broadway actress/vocalist Capathia Jenkins. Bring in the star power of hip-hop artist Common, winner of the 2015 Academy Award for “Glory” and multiple Grammy, Golden Globe and BET awards. Then hand the baton to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s John Morris Russell.
