Friday, June 10, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Cintas Center, Xavier University – For those who think climate change is too big to tackle, the Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit has an answer – actually, 100 of them. Keynote speaker Paul Hawken and other regional leaders will explore 100 solutions to reduce carbon emissions.
Saturday, June 18, 9 a.m.-noon – Folks of all ages are invited to be one of the thousands of volunteers who will spend a Saturday morning cleaning up the Ohio River and its tributaries. The effort will be led by Great Parks of Hamilton County and the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission.
Friday, June 17, 6-10 p.m., Jeff Wyler Automotive Family Corporate Office & Events Center, Milford – The second Classic Cars for a Cause will benefit the YWCA Greater Cincinnati Eastern Area. The fundraiser will feature food stations, beer and wine, musical entertainment, live and silent auctions, and an inside look at the Wyler classic car collection.
The Harold C. Schott Foundation will donate $500,000 over a period of five years to strengthen the Cincinnati Art Museum’s special exhibitions and related programming.
The musicians of Collegium Cincinnati invite singers from all over the region to join them for the inaugural SummerSing. The one-week festival will tap into Cincinnati’s long history of choral music.
