The John L. Magro Foundation will honor the late Stephen Birmingham (1932-2015) during its 17th annual fundraising event. Birmingham, a longtime resident of Cincinnati, wrote many novels, short stories and nonfiction books, including “Our Crowd,” “America’s Secret Aristocracy,” “Carriage Trade” and “Real Lace: America’s Irish Rich.”
