The contemporary music festival, in its 11th year, will include two premieres: a full-orchestra version of MusicNOW founder Bryce Dessner’s “Aheym” and the U.S. premiere of Dessner’s work for strings, “Réponse Lutoslawski.”

It would be easy to look at Jill Meyer and Awadagin Pratt and see two Cincinnatis. Meyer is small and blond and business. Pratt is big and dreadlocked and music.
