Duke Energy Center closure means short-term pain, long-term gain for Cincinnati event industry

The Duke Energy Convention Center will close for 18 months starting next summer as part of a major renovation of the 55-year-old downtown Cincinnati facility.

Leaders acknowledged some short-term pains related to the closure. But they believe the enhancements to the center and the new Convention Center District will benefit the region as well as event promoters.
