Culture FIX: Feb. 7-13

Weekends are certainly the time to get out and enjoy a concert or an art exhibit, but have you ever tried relaxing in front of an artsy movie or some jazz after a long day at work? Take advantage of an empty restaurant or easy downtown parking on a Monday night and plan an evening at The Woodward. How about some Camp Washington Chili and the American Sign Museum on Thursday?

Culture FIX: Jan. 10-16

In the bleak midwinter the Cincinnati arts scene is far from bleak. Resist the urge to settle in under a cozy blanket with a good book. Venture out and continue to support artists and performers who contribute to our culture year ‘round.

Culture FIX: Oct 11-17

Autumn is upon us. The stunning colors and the crisp air invite us to get out and enjoy the season leading up to a gorgeous Hunter’s moon at the end of the month. Outdoor fun is winding down, but there are a lot of warm and cozy things to do inside this week. The CSO has fired back up and there are some interesting movies on tap. And, there’s sauerkraut. It’s so nice of the powers-that-be to insert pleasant distractions like the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day into this month of middling temps and grey skies. No football on this list, but several nods to Cupid along the way. We at M&M certainly wish you a love-filled few days ahead.

Culture FIX: June 8-14

This week’s events tend to explore the edges, the avant-garde, things created just outside the spectrum, touching on civil rights, gender and sexual identity, the environment and the war in Ukraine. We invite you to explore, investigate, experience … or just hit up Italianfest and eat your cares away! You decide.

Culture FIX: May 11-17

The seasons they are a-changin’ this week, with some ending and some ramping up. There are fun fundraisers you might enjoy, plus outdoor art, cocktails- and flowers-as-art, and even movies-while-afloat. Just try to keep up…

Culture FIX: April 13-19

Churches are full of singing this week if you are craving some great choral music. Otherwise, it’s a another delightful hodge-podge of art, film, literature, music and theater. We wish you a meaningful Holy Week, however you celebrate.
