Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals presents awards to several individuals or organizations at its National Philanthropy Day Luncheon… Rosa Nemec is in her sixth year of running the Year of the Girl program. It introduces girls in fourth through sixth grade to STEM-related fields and encourages their interest in STEM disciplines.

Jill Miller, president of Bethesda Inc., and Ryan Adcock, executive director of Cradle Cincinnati, gave a presentation on the outcomes of StartStrong, a collaborative effort to reduce infant mortality, at the June 2018 Grant Makers in Health annual conference.

Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals presents awards to several individuals or organizations at its National Philanthropy Day Luncheon… bi3, has cultivated a reputation for stepping up to some of the most difficult health issues facing the Cincinnati community. In the last eight years, bi3 has awarded more than 40 grants, investing more than $36 million in transformative health and health care initiatives in Greater Cincinnati.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Cincinnati Chapter will hold its 17th annual Nonprofit Leadership Summit titled “Culture Eats Philanthropy for Breakfast.” Kishshana Palmer will speak on building a successful organizational culture to enhance the satisfaction of a nonprofit’s team, its donors and the community.

AFP launches campaign to address gender inequity in fundraising

The Association of Fundraising Professionals launched a campaign to address issues of gender inequity in the fundraising profession and charitable sector. The two-year Women’s Impact Initiative will assess, address and highlight the challenges that women in the fundraising profession face, with the goal of creating resources that help overcome gender inequity.
