Landmark gift largest in CAM history

A gift of $11.75 million to the Cincinnati Art Museum – to establish the Alice Bimel Endowment for Asian Art – was announced at the museum’s 137th Annual Meeting of the Shareholders of the Cincinnati Museum Association on May 15. This is the largest single monetary gift in the museum’s history!

The Cincinnati Art Museum has received a $1 million grant for an innovative redesign of its Schmidlapp Gallery. The renovations – made possible by the grant from Jacob G. Schmidlapp Trusts, Fifth Third Bank, Trustee, along with financial support from the state – will allow visitors to connect with art and engage in focused study of collections.
