And the seasons begin to close… It does not seem possible that we are nearing the end of the main 2021-22 performance season, but here we are. Get ’em while they’re hot. Just a few weeks left before the switch-over to summer. Still plenty of great things to choose from, I promise!
This is a bunched-up week with big bunches of events: a five-day festival, four days of dance and movies and the CSO, three theater openings, two movie double bills and a two-day symposium, plus one of J.S. Bach’s grandest compositions, capped off by the bigger than life Fran Lebowitz. Good luck keeping up…
“It’s the holiday season…” Or so they tell me. Having spent a week in Mexico City before they decorate (Nothing much begins there until Dec. 12), we find ourselves in catch-up mode this week. The year 2021 has been one of mixed blessings – greater freedoms and safety tempered by fits and starts and continued uncertainty. Still, there were things to relish and things to be grateful for, and we asked some of those featured recently in M&M to share their “favorite things” about Our Fair City from the past year.
