We’re springing ahead with an eventful week highlighted by once-a-year celebrations – Easter Sunday, the Cincinnati Reds Opening Day and the Cincinnati Zoo’s festival of flowers. But there are other options for those of us seeking a cultural fix, including several tasty musical treats.

I am not a black tie person. I do not live a black tie life. Its traditional requirements are a tuxedo and a floor-length evening gown, two items I can’t find anywhere in our closets. I believe jeans are the best item of clothing ever invented and sneakers with a wide toe box are the best footwear.

Culture FIX: Nov. 22-28

Take a deep breath and rest a bit before the culture-saturated holiday season heats up. Enjoy time with family and friends and take in some Queen City favorites, together. Families can enjoy the Christkindlmarkt or some fun on the Purple People Bridge. Or, drop the kids at Grandma’s and head out for a date night to the symphony. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
