Culture FIX: April 10-16

There are no ghost lights burning in Cincinnati theaters this week. A full slate of opening nights awaits. Especially good bar music is plentiful to accompany your brews. There’s plenty of Beethoven, too. And Art on Vine for that perfect somethin’ somethin’ for your empty wall. Get out and enjoy!

Culture FIX: March 13-19

Eclectic is the word of the week. Insects, Broadway flops (or not), German codes, incomplete symphonies, anti-feminism and a singing group called Whiffenpoofs? Have a warm and festive holiday season and see you next year.

Artistry is all around us. Art is an exhilarating dance in a food market. Art is relished in old, beautifully restored buildings. Art is participatory on historic bridges. Well-appointed concert halls are nice. Expertly curated museums are comfortable, but try on something new this week.

Culture FIX: Sept. 6-12

It’s easy to assume that, with the last blast of Labor Day Weekend behind us, fall has arrived. Well, not quite. The weather is saying otherwise, and the autumnal equinox doesn’t arrive until Saturday, Sept. 23. Let’s not rush things.

Culture FIX: March 8-14

What a world-class week ahead! One of the most important openings here in decades – the new Playhouse mainstage theater. Plus visits by global and national superstars, not to mention our homegrown talents that can measure up with the best.
