Culture FIX: Sept. 18-24

Whether you’re willing to brave the heat or would rather keep your climate controlled, there’s plenty to do in the next week, including one of Greater Cincinnati’s biggest communal parties. It’s only one of several events too big for a single day. Here’s a sampling of what we have to look forward to.

Culture FIX: Sept. 11-17

Fall is upon us, though, which means season openers in all sorts of places. Enjoy some theater at Falcon or Matinee Musicale on Sunday afternoon. Peruse a FotoFocus exhibit at the 21c Museum while you plan what to do for the rest of the week. It’s all there, just for you.

Culture FIX: April 10-16

There are no ghost lights burning in Cincinnati theaters this week. A full slate of opening nights awaits. Especially good bar music is plentiful to accompany your brews. There’s plenty of Beethoven, too. And Art on Vine for that perfect somethin’ somethin’ for your empty wall. Get out and enjoy!

Eclectic is the word of the week. Insects, Broadway flops (or not), German codes, incomplete symphonies, anti-feminism and a singing group called Whiffenpoofs? Or, check out a movie at The Woodward and grab a pre-film sandwich across the street MOTR. Never a dull moment in the Queen City.

Culture FIX: Feb. 14-20

Check out interesting things to do in some of the area’s historic places of worship. Not all is sacred, though. Theater, children’s programs, chamber music, an organ concert and some Bach will grace chancels across the city. Plus, a whole lot more…

Culture FIX: Dec. 13-19

If too much shopping and singing and decorating have you in a squeeze, take a night off and relax with something outside of your holiday norm. And this being our last Culture FIX of 2023, make sure to check out TICKET WATCH at the bottom of this column for remaining December events you should get your tickets for NOW! Have a warm and festive holiday season and see you next year.

Culture FIX: Sept. 20-26

Artistry is all around us. Art is an exhilarating dance in a food market. Art is relished in old, beautifully restored buildings. Art is participatory on historic bridges. Well-appointed concert halls are nice. Expertly curated museums are comfortable, but try on something new this week.
