Cincinnati State has named longtime Provost Robbin S. Hoopes as its next president. The only internal finalist, Hoopes will succeed retiring President Monica Posey and lead the college into its next chapter.
Since 2018, the Cincinnati-based nonprofit has distributed more than $4 million in equity-free funding to more than 160 local companies.
The gift came from Kenwood Dealer Group in the form of a 10-year partnership. The goal is to address a shortage in automative workers.
The Cincinnati State Foundation has established an endowed scholarship fund to benefit students in its nursing program. It will build on a previous fund to establish an endowment of approximately $125,000.
The Marge and Charles J. Schott Foundation is giving $250,000 to endow a scholarship fund at Cincinnati State for low-income students.
The Cincinnati chapter of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, a worldwide society devoted to fine food and wine, has donated $6,000 to Cincinnati State’s Midwest Culinary Institute. The gift will become part of the Irwin and Barbara Weinberg Culinary Scholarship Fund.
