School garden feeds hunger for fresh food and community
This after-school project is growing young gardeners at William Howard Taft STEM Elementary School. A $5,000 Summer of STEM grant from the Greater Cincinnati STEM Collaborative and presenting sponsor Duke Energy Foundation brought the garden to life.
Women’s clubs coach kids in 3D Printers Club
United Way’s Women of Tocqueville and Women Investing in the Next Generation led a 3D Printers Club in conjunction with the Greater Cincinnati STEM Collaborative and South Avondale Elementary School.
Fifteen fifth-grade girls participated in the 10-week workshop under the guidance of mentors from members of the two groups.
