Heimlich Heroes, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit, teaches young people how to recognize, respond to and prevent choking emergencies. Since the organization’s start in 2013, it has conducted 500 Heimlich Maneuver training sessions.
Heimlich Heroes, an educational nonprofit, is in the midst of its inaugural fundraising campaign. The organization’s “Imagine…” campaign launched in mid-April with a goal of raising $75,000 in 2016. The free program trains children in grades 2-8 how to recognize, respond and prevent a choking emergency.
