With BLINK in the rearview mirror, there is a lot of making up for lost time this week. No rest for the curious, I’m afraid. (There’s a lot of cool stuff to sample.)
This week appears to be “Theater Week,” with seven (7!) openings between Thursday and Tuesday. On Saturday or Sunday, take Mom out to explore Asian and/or Hispanic food and culture or photos inspired by the pandemic. Happy Mother’s Day! Hug her tight if you still have one.
Learning Through Art is making its online-only literacy program available at no cost for families within Cincinnati Public Schools with students in pre-kindergarten through grade 3.
Learning Through Art has been named this year’s recipient of the Childhood Literacy Grant, which awards $100,000 to a local nonprofit that brings books and other literacy resources to Tristate neighborhoods in need.
The holiday is over, and it’s back to business. At least it is for the region’s arts and cultural community. Its various organizations have cooked up a week full of activities that go great with leftover brats, grilled chicken, corn on the cob and potato salad. Let’s get to it.
