Fox, president and CEO of altafiber, will help lead the 110-year-old nonprofit’s campaign to mobilize companies, employees and community members in support of programs focused on improving families’ economic well-being throughout Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.
Audrey Treasure is vice president and executive director of the Workforce Innovation Center at the Cincinnati Regional Chamber. “I really like people, and I really like making connections, and I really like solving problems,” Treasure said. “That’s what this work is: Working with people, connecting them to one another and saying ‘Let’s solve this problem.’ ”
Volunteers play a key role in United Way’s Free Tax Prep program, which helps thousands of people avoid filing fees and claim tax credits that boost their financial stability.
Grants give partner organizations the resources they need to grow enrollment, helping more participants complete training and land good-paying jobs.
Now in its fourth year, the program distributed backpacks to 3,500 local students, surpassing the organization’s goal.
This year’s campaign will build on the success of 2024, when United Way invested more than $37 million into the community through partnerships with more than 600 local organizations.
Supporters receive the recognition for their philanthropic efforts and dedication to the Greater Cincinnati community.
