Movers & Makers has served as the public voice of Greater Cincinnati nonprofits for more than 30 years. A free print and digital publication, M&M spotlights catalysts and creatives shaping the future of Cincinnati arts & culture, community engagement, education, healthcare, medical research, social services and more.
M&M publishes 11 print issues per year, with a double, holiday issue for December/January. Through our website, we regularly share news and photos. We email a weekly news blast each Wednesday morning. Subscribe here.
Founded as Express Cincinnati in 1995, Movers & Makers was re-branded and upgraded in 2016. In 2021, a nonprofit was formed under the name of Movers and Makers Publishing, which merged with Cincinnati Cares. As of September 2025, M&M came under the fiscal agency of the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501(c)(3).
As the unofficial voice of more than 700 regional nonprofit organizations, M&M has its finger on the pulse of a highly-active, engaged and influential sector of the Tristate. Our readers are board members, sponsors, committee members, volunteers, staff members and attendees at thousands of area events each year: exhibits, performances, galas, runs, walks, outings…
In addition to profiles of “movers and makers” and features about issues affecting the Cincinnati nonprofit community, M&M shares nonprofit news about awards, gifts, grants and personnel changes, as well as a wide array photos from past events.
M&M’s two print and online event calendars (arts & culture and fundraisers/community events) are arguably the most comprehensive in the region.
