‘Miracle’ survivor inspires guests at Red Cross meeting

Dave Sanderson, the last passenger off after the “Miracle on the Hudson” plane crash, was the keynote speaker at the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the American Red Cross annual meeting.

Surviving the crash landing deeply affected Sanderson, who now speaks to groups around the world about how they can make an impact on their own lives and those of others.The Red Cross helped him throughout his rescue from the plane, stay in the hospital and return home, so he also speaks regularly on the organization’s behalf.

At the event, the Red Cross honored Mike Michael, Fifth Third executive vice president and group regional president, with its Clara Barton Award for volunteer leadership.
