Sunday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Hyde Park Square
The Hyde Park Square Art Show, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in October, will pick up a statewide honor shortly afterward.
The Ohio Art Education Association will present the show’s organizers with the Ohio Distinguished Business/Organization for Art Education award, for long-term commitment to supporting the visual arts.
The award will be presented Thursday, Nov. 3, during the OAEA conference at Duke Energy Convention Center.
“Being able to showcase our region’s best artists while supporting emerging talent through exhibit opportunity and financial scholarships is a mission we’ve been able to support for a half century,” said Janet Smith, chair of the show.
The Hyde Park Square Art Show is the largest one-day show in Greater Cincinnati. More than 200 artists, primarily from the Tri-State, are invited to participate in the Oct. 2 show.
