Ellen Katz, president/CEO of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, will serve as honorary chair of the National Philanthropy Day luncheon.
The event, presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Cincinnati Chapter, takes place each year on National Philanthropy Day.
As a member of the Child Poverty Collaborative Steering Committee, Katz is playing a key role in the community’s efforts to lift 10,000 children out of poverty in the next five years.
Recently, GCF teamed with the Greenlight Foundation in announcing a $2.4 million grant to fund an innovative approach to raising local families out of poverty.
This year’s National Philanthropy Day luncheon will honor four individuals: David Herche, Philanthropist of the Year; James Dodd, Volunteer of the Year; Heather Konerman, Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy; and Rosemary Oglesby-Henry, Emerging Leader.
Tickets to the luncheon are $55 through Oct. 15, then $65 until registration closes Oct. 30.
