Cincinnati Shakespeare Company debuts new theater

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company staged “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” as its first production in the new Otto M. Budig Theater. Before the opening-night performance, supporters and city dignitaries and officials were welcomed at a black-tie gala. The $17.5 million theater is across from Washington Park, at 12th and Elm, just down the street from Music Hall. Funding came from a mix of public and private funds. The company will present seven more productions in the 2017-2018 season, including “Dracula” and “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.”
