Paraag Maddiwar finally had a moment to catch his breath. The executive director of Asianati had just gotten through that organization’s marquee annual event, the Asian Food Fest. This year’s estimated attendance, buoyed by nearly perfect weather, was at least 150,000 exceeding last year’s 125,000.
The event will take place April 25-26 on Court Street Plaza. More than 60 vendors will serve over 150 dishes spanning a wide range of Asian cuisines.
The move brings together two groups with similar missions and complementary programs, aiming to create a stronger, more sustainable organization that can broaden outreach and steward community resources more effectively.
