The Cincinnati Horticultural Society is planning an August getaway to the Grand Garden Show on picturesque Mackinac Island.
The tour package includes transportation, accommodations at the iconic Grand Hotel and admission to the Grand Garden Show. The tour will leave Cincinnati Sunday, Aug. 28, and return Wednesday, Aug. 31.
Sunday evening will begin with a reception on the hotel’s Grand Porch. The following days will include gardening sessions and tours of private gardens via horse-drawn carriage. Free admission to the Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum and a cocktail reception in the Tea Garden are among special events.
Space is limited. Registration deadline is July 16. Single occupancy is $2,200; for two, double occupancy is $2,850.
