The injection of punk into Caracole’s fourth annual Party in Plaid brought the largest crowd ever – a total of 575 guests – and more than $105,000 raised.
Proceeds go to Caracole’s mission of reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS through housing, care and prevention.
Moe Rouse emceed the event, which was attended by “Project Runway” designer Asha Ama Daniels. The event honored Freeman Durham and Jim Schwab and featured live band, cocktails, dinner by the bite, a fashion show and dance party.
For those feeling a little punk-challenged, a pop-up punk shop, hairstylists and MAC cosmetics were on hand to help bring on the attitude.
