Grant accelerates local minority businesses

The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s Minority Business Accelerator has received a $300,000 Surdna Foundation grant.

Darrin Redus, vice president of the accelerator, said, “Surdna funds will support the growth of our existing portfolio firms, catalyze the development of a strong MBE (minority business enterprise) pipeline, and support the chamber’s strategic plan and positioning of the accelerator as a national model.”

The accelerator focuses on reducing disparity in the region’s business community by driving economic activity for African American- and Hispanic-owned companies and increasing employment in underemployed populations.
