Want a piece of Music Hall?
Items ranging from chandeliers and sconces, to a $20,000 wooden bar, and architectural details from Cincinnati Music Hall will be for sale to the public.
After Music Hall was closed this past May for the start of extensive renovations, portraits, statues, artworks and many other items were moved into storage. While the most recognizable artifacts will be reincorporated into Music Hall, many other items, including theater and box seats, gilt mirrors, aluminum chairs from Music Hall’s ballroom, benches, decorative hardware, poster displays and lighting fixtures are available.
The sale will be coordinated by Wooden Nickel Antiques.
A ticketed, “early-bird” pre-sale event is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11, 6-9 p.m. at the Wooden Nickel Antiques’ warehouse at 1515 Central Parkway. Tickets are $25 and are on sale at www.CincinnatiArts.org, 513-621-ARTS (2787), and the Aronoff Center Ticket Office. Tickets will also be available at the event.
Open public sales are scheduled for:
- Saturday, Nov. 12, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Monday-Friday, Nov. 14-18, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 19, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Society for the Preservation of Music Hall, a nonprofit founded to preserve, promote, improve, and provide education about Music Hall.
