A year of ‘Pecs and Pups’ benefits animal rescue

Adorable dogs with adorable men. What’s not to love?

Louie's Legacy Pecs and PupsLouie’s Legacy Animal Rescue collaborated with celebrity photographer Mike Ruiz to create a 2017 eye-candy calendar titled “Pecs and Pups.” Each month features a chiseled hunk paired with a rescue pup.

Among the models are Andrew Englund, Michael Dean and Frank Carter. Ruiz, who found his own rescue dog, Oliver, four years ago, figured that teaming the hyper-masculine men with darling adoptable pups would be a “marketing no-brainer.”

The dogs in the calendar were chosen at random, but most steal the show from their muscular partners. All dogs are available for adoption at Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue and represent a fraction of those in need.

“People think the more you pay for a dog, the healthier and smarter he/she will be,” Ruiz said. “You are far more likely to get a happy, healthy dog from a rescue than from a backyard breeder.”

Every dollar from the sale of Pecs and Pups calendars goes to Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue.

Calendars are $19.95.
