Rockin’ at Riverfest raises $500,000 for Children’s Home

Nearly 500 guests at Rockin’ at Riverfest raised a cool half-million dollars for the Children’s Home of Cincinnati programs. The event was presented by the Marge & Charles J. Schott Foundation and the Heidt Family Foundation.

Event co-chairs were John Bankston and Dr. Karen Bankston, Jeff and Lindsay Berding and Mike and Lauri Prescott. Emcees were Tanya O’Rourke and Steve Raleigh from WCPO 9 On Your Side. The event included silent and live auctions and a view of the Western & Southern/WEBN fireworks.

“We are thrilled and humbled by the enormous amount of support that we received during Rockin’ at Riverfest,” said Rod Hinton, vice president of advancement. “Together we raised funds which will help provide much-needed services to 8,300 vulnerable children and families we serve in the Greater Cincinnati area.”

The $500,000 raised will support programs and services, including scholarships for students to attend the High School for Students with Autism and Related Disorders.
