The University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music kicked off the year-long celebration of its 150th anniversary with the annual Moveable Feast.
A sold-out crowd of about 700 helped CCM raise $150,000 for scholarships, student travel, professional development opportunities and community engagement initiatives.
The sesquicentennial honorees were Tom Baur and his family, descendants of Clara Baur who founded the Conservatory of Music in 1867.
Peter Landgren, Moveable Feast honorary chair, was saluted for his leadership and dedication to the University of Cincinnati and the UC Foundation.
CCM alumnus Brian Newman, bandleader for Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, performed with the CCM Jazz Orchestra.
