Sunday, April 24, 11 a.m., Boone County Arboretum, Union, Ky.
Humans and their best friends are invited to go for a walk in the park that benefits Pilot Dogs Inc.
All funds from the Northern Kentucky Charity Dog Walkathon go toward training for individuals from Northern Kentucky who qualify for guide dogs.
The walk, first held in 1992, is sponsored by the Northern Kentucky Veterinary Technicians and Northern Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association. Over the years, it has raised more than $90,000.
Money is collected through sponsorships. Participants ask family, friends and employers to donate any amount to Pilot Dogs, in care of the Northern KY Charity Dog Walkathon.
