“Dead Can Dance” | Exhale Dance Tribe

The wildly inventive Exhale Tribe updates its annual Halloween-themed event with new choreography, complete with ghoulish costumes and guest aerial silks artist Holly Price.

FILM
“2nd Annual Warsaw Ave. Film Festival” | Price Hill Will
Oct. 29, 5-10 p.m. • Warsaw Firehouse • 3120 Warsaw Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45205
Price Hill Will is at the epicenter of artistic life in this resurgent neighborhood. Check out the excitement these folks are generating. The theme for this year’s festival is Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), films about life and death, rituals, Hispanic culture, and Mexican tradition. Doors open at 4:30. Films begin at 6.

“Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis” | Cincinnati Symphony & Pops
Oct. 27 & 29 • Taft Theater
Another blowout week at the CSO features the world’s greatest cellist, Yo-Yo Ma, sandwiched between two performances of Beethoven’s epic and rarely performed Missa Solemnis, led by just-appointed May Festival principal conductor Juanjo Mena. A good excuse to camp out at the Taft all weekend!

Art After Dark | Cincinnati Art Museum

This month’s Art after Dark is sure to be a thrill. Live music, costume contest and halloween inspired dance performances are all on the agenda. But the real icing on this cake is the free, yes FREE, opportunity to tour the “Van Gogh: into the undergrowth” exhibit.

Run Like Hell | Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Oct. 28 7:30 p.m. • 3614 Woodburn Ave.
A 5K like no other. Run (or walk) in costume through Xavier University campus and Walnut Hills Cemetery. Then enjoy the after-party with food, drinks, music by Naked Karate Girls. Proceeds benefit Cincinnati Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Can’t make the run? No problem you can still get passes to the after party.
